Defeating the Spanish side Laboral Kutxa 95-86 at the ninth week match of Euroleague First Round Group B, Anadolu Efes Coach Dusan Ivkovic commented at the post-game press conference:
“It was a very interesting and exciting game today. Even though both teams had already clinched a spot in the Top 16, there was literally a battle on the court to win right until the final moment. It was a very high quality game. Actually, as the coach, I am not pleased about allowing 86 points to the opponent. As for the match itself, we didn’t start well. We failed to capitalize on simple layups and uncontested shots. In that part of the game, our opponent got 13 points from easy shots, and despite that, we didn’t commit any fouls. They made 7/10 of their shot attempts to start the game, and hit 52% of their three pointers at the end of the game. On the other hand, we arguably had our best final quarter performance so far this season. We deserved to win this match. We need to keep working. We are not plagued by any serious injuries right now. Now, we are going to start preparing for our match in the Turkish League on Sunday...”
