Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman, who defeated Italy's EA7 Emporio Armani Milan on the road 80-51 in the ninth-week match of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, shared his views at the press conference held after the match:
“The result of the match is very interesting. Frankly, I did not expect such a score before the match. The EA7 Emporio Armani Milan team has problems due to injuries. We knew they had problems offensively, so we worked well with our defensive strategy. Our strategy was successful in the first half, but we gave our opponent eight offensive rebounds this half. We talked about defensive rebounds in the locker room. We started the second half very well, we controlled the defensive rebounds. We attacked their weak points well. We took control of the game by attacking in the low post with Clyburn and pick-n-rolls with Pleiss. We have confidence in ourselves. We got a lot of three-pointers, but I think we made those shots after we got the rhythm of the game. The Milan team lost control. The result of the match does not reflect the difference between the two teams. But it is a very important away win for us.”
