Anadolu Efes won the match in the end…

Hosted by Spain’s Herbalife Gran Canaria team in the 6th-week match of Turkish Airlines Euroleague game, Anadolu Efes won the game with the score of 94-90. Anadolu Efes was trailing with the score of 50-52 at the halftime of the match that has been played at Gran Canaria Arena. Our player Shane Larkin got injured in the pre-game training because of the slippery floor, and our players slipped and fall countlessly during the game and were in danger of being injured.

Starting the match with Micic, Beaubois, Anderson, Moerman, and Dunston, Anadolu Efes’s first point was scored by Anderson and Dunston duo and passed the first minute 5-0 ahead. After Micic’s fancy dunk, our team was 7-2 ahead, then the hosting team’s 7 points Anderson scored and balanced the score 9-9 at the 4th minute. Anadolu Efes was trailing 9-14 when the television time-out called, then returning from the time-out Anderson, Dunston and Simon’s points set the score tablet o 20-21 and our team was ahead. With Dunston’s point our team was 22-21 ahead, then Micic responded to the rival’s points with 2 successful free-throw and our team trailing at the end of the first 10-minute duration: 24-25. Starting the second quarter with Pleiss’s basket, Anadolu Efes brought the score to 26-25 at the 11th minute. At the 13th minute, the score table was set to 26-31 and coach Ataman called a time-out. Returning from the time-out Micic scored a 5 point series, then our team brought the score to 31-32 at 13:30. With Motum and Beaubois’s points, our team was 36-35 ahead at 15:30. In this minute our rival scored and lead the score. Then our team scored with Micic and Motum, then Simon’s last-second layup brought down the score difference to 2 points and we finished the first half 52-50 trailing.

 

Starting the second half with Beaubois’s point, Anadolu Efes was ahead at 21st minute with the score 55-52. After our rival’s points, Anderson set the score table to 57-59, then at 24:40 the score table was set to 57-65 and so coach Ergin Ataman called a time-out. Returning from the time-out with Simon’s three-pointer, the score difference was brought down to 5 points: 60-65. At this point, our players went to the free-throw line a lot and Anderson, Dunston and Simon’s successful points brought the score to 64-67 at the 27th minute. In the last minute of the quarter, Dunston scored 2 and Pleiss scored with a fancy dunk and our team was trailing 70-73. Starting the final quarter our first basket was shot by Pleiss and the score difference thus brought down to 1 point: 72-73. At 31:40 the score table was set to 72-80 and so our coach Ergin Ataman called a time-out. Returning from the time-out Simon scored three points and-one, then at the 32nd minute, the score was set to 75-80. At 32:45 Moerman scored with a steal and brought down the score difference to 3 points: 77-80. At the 35th minute the score was brought to 77-87, then Beaubois and Pleiss scored 4 points each and our team brought down the score difference to 3 at the last 2:30 minutes of the match: 85-88. Simon scored 2 points from the free-throw line and brought down the score difference to 1 point at the last 1:40 minutes, then Pleiss’s layup set the score to 89-90 in the last minute. With Simon’s three-pointer our team was 92-90 ahead in the last 27 seconds of the match, then Micic scored 2 points from the free-throw line and Anadolu Efes won the match with the score 94-90.
