Anadolu Efes head coach Ergin Ataman, who defeated Germany's Bayern Munich team 89-81 in Istanbul in the 20th-week match of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, shared his views at the press conference held after the match:
“It was a very difficult loss for us, after twenty-five minutes of excellent play we stopped for the rest of the game. There is no excuse to explain this defeat, it is very difficult to comment. After the first half of the third quarter, the game changed, we entered rotations, and we changed players. But after the shots we missed on offense, we forgot to defend. At Bayern Munich, Othello Hunter and Augustine Rubit made some very important shots. We panicked and lost. One of the important statistics for us was that we only got two offensive rebounds in the game where our opponent had ten offensive rebounds. We believed that we would hit almost every shot we took and we didn't push the rebounds, which was a mental problem. If strong teams like us are losing a few points ahead of the game, it's entirely up to the coach."
