Following Anadolu Efes's 96-70 defeat away to Lithuania's Zalgiris Kaunas in the 24th week of the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, head coach Erdem Can shared his thoughts at the post-match press conference:
"First of all, I would like to thank the Zalgiris Kaunas fans for the atmosphere they created here. There's a great atmosphere, and people are focused on supporting their team.
For us, the key to the game was how we started in the first quarter. The 34-14 scoreline in the first quarter explains a lot. Our turnovers turned into open shots for our opponent. And when you break down like that in the first quarter, it's not easy to come back in this kind of atmosphere. We tried, but then simple mistakes we made prevented us from doing so. At the end of the day, we lost another important match. We discuss it among ourselves; win or lose, whatever happens, we will fight until the last game. We have 10 matches left, and each of them is now a final for us."
